Forever Friends Fairytale Scenic Card

#sarasherlock #scenecards Colored Pencil Coloring Much Love Sara Princessland Dear Sara Sherlock

Hello!  It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara.  I absolutely loved the fairytale/fantasy theme of many of the June stamp sets.  Once I had the new Princessland Dear Stamp Set, in my hands, I knew I had to create a scenic card that looked like it was taken right out of a storybook.

I used the stamp set along with the coordinating die. I combined them with an older stamp set, Listen for Joy and its coordinating die, along with the Slim Line Cloud Coverage Stencil.  I stamped all of the images in Black Hybrid Ink, then colored them in with my Polychromos Pencils.

The image of the castle was snipped around the stones, just slightly, to allow the princess' dress to feed through, and billow off the side.  Distress Oxide inks in Saltwater Taffy, and Evergreen Bough were applied with the Life Changing Blender Brushes to create the cloudy sky, ink the hill, and to stamp the sentiment.  The curve of the hill was traced from the bottom of the castle die, then cut out

.

Now, I'm curious for your opinion.  Do you think the dragon and princess are truly friends?  Or do you think it's a form of Stockholm Syndrome?

I hope you enjoyed today's project.  Find more cards using products from Picket Fence Studios over on my blog.  Have a fantastic day!

Much Love,
